Oral History (Tarikhi)Story: Ilham Dabboub, Libya

Nursery head Ilham Dabboub was three years old when her father, Omar Ali Dabboub, was first imprisoned in 1973. He was repeatedly imprisoned and tortured until the day he was hanged on 7 April 1977.

Oral History (Tarikhi)Story: Bashir Jarbou, Libya

Bashir Jarbou was first brought in for questioning in 1973 when he was 17 years old. Government representatives had visited his school to talk about the Arab Union and didn’t like what he had to say.
