Lebanon Livelihoods is an exploration of the employment and entrepreneurship challenges faced by Palestinian and Lebanese women and men in Lebanon.
the study was informed by a roundtable discussion with livelihoods professionals in Beirut and by stories shared in the oral history collection Lebanon Livelihoods.
the round table discussion hosted by sharq.org enabled fruitful exchanges of knowledge by livelihood specialists working with UNRWA, ILO, UNDP, Synaps, Legal Agenda and IMCapital.
the oral history collection includes twelve interviews with Lebanese and Palestinian women and men talking about their challenges with employment and entrepreneurship. The interviews were conducted and recorded by sharq.org in 2017. the filmed interviews (Arabic only) and story summaries (Arabic and English) are published in a collection named Lebanon Livelihoods in the Tarikhi story archive.
