Collectiva Shamila is now accepting applications for its 2026 cohort.
Collectiva Shamila (Arabic for inclusive) is a transnational collective of women engaged in multidimensional community and peace-building. the structure and objectives of each cohort are determined by the members themselves. sharq.org invites women with heritage roots in the Arabic speaking region living anywhere in the world to apply to join a transnational collective rooted in south-west Asia and north Africa (swana) with branches and blossoms worldwide.
members will meet regularly to collaborate, co-learn, and co-create. given the expansive nature of the collective, meetings will take place online and the language of communication will be global English. in person meetings between members in close proximity will be encouraged.

co-learn – we’ll share information and lessons and knowledge
co-create – we’ll develop project ideas and make beautiful things happen
